Well, Hello there! : )

I hope everyone is having a delightful weekend so far (many little strawberry shortcakes with much whipped cream and multi-coloured sparklers!)

Our 4th of July was of the lazy-stay-at home sort (and so was....for two little homebodies such as we are....ever so lovely, indeed!) The highlight of my little weekend was finding this amazing 30's crazy-quilt at an antique shop for $30 dollars!! I was over the moon to find such a pretty quilt for it's price....as most ones I've come across have been far over $80 and way beyond my price range. Eeeep!, Said I, when I spied it lying there ever so prettily. I spent much of Saturday afternoon gently cleaning it, and ironing it once it had dried......it now lies cozily (and quite sweetly) upon the bed. I do love it so!!


There are so many magical prints to discover.....it's a favorite past time of mine, lying on the bed and looking at all the little prints, one by one...imagining what sort of frock or other the fabrics once were, long ago....and what was happening in the wide world while they were being stitched oh so carefully by hand.

It's a soothing, swirling and stitched sea of cotton that I'm swooning over something silly!!
(And that's a lot of Ssssssses!) tee hee!!
